The United Revenge Militia of the Peoples (HBIM) claimed the fires that took place on 2 July in the Bodrum district of Muğla by making a written statement.
HBIM made the following statement:
“The total war and denial policies initiated by the Turkish state against the Kurdish people and the freedom movement continue. In this dirty war, the fascist colonial state is setting fire to the geography, mountains and plains of Kurdistan and wanting to win this dirty war by trapping all humanity.
International forces and institutions support the Turkish state’s quiet massacres rather than stopping and judging it. We have repeatedly warned both the international forces and the Turkish state with the actions and explanations we have made on this issue, but the international powers and the Turkish state have ignored our warnings and continued to destroy the nature of Kurdistan.
We Respond to Those Who Kill Kurdistan Nature in Their Language and Style
We are also a response to this massacre and we are continuing our action to stop the fascist state attacks, once again we warn tourists going to Turkey, and say that they should stop being a partner in the fascist state’s economy, as they too will become a partner in the war. This area will no longer be a safe area for tourism.
We will be in your tourism destination and we will respond to those who kill the nature of Kurdistan in the language and style that they understand.”
No one sleeps comfortably unless the massacres end in Kurdistan
According to this statement, a sabotage was organized by the United Revenge Militia of Peoples in two separate points simultaneously in Bodrum district of Muğla on 12 July. Hundreds of hectares of land were damaged in both actions and although the Turkish government intervened with hundreds of fire and air vehicles, it was inadequate and affected the tourism regions.
With these actions, dozens of hotels have been evacuated and access to some tourist areas is prohibited and many intervention vehicles have been burned.
“These actions are being concealed by the state, the pit media are hiding the truth in these actions, the Turkish state and tourism have been affected greatly.
Once again we warn the Turkish state to stop the massacres in Kurdistan if these brutal attacks do not end, no one who lives in any Turkish metropolis will sleep comfortably. We will turn into hell. ”
