Birliğizidî Youth Association and Gençzidî Young Women’s Union protested the martyrdom of comrade Helmet (Diyar Xerib), a member of the KCK Presidential Council. Banners and photographs of Peoples’ Leader Abdullah Öcalan and KCK General Assembly Council Member Diyar Xerib were carried.
After the march, the text was read to the press. The statement stated:
“To avenge the martyrs, the youth must resist against all the oppression and attacks of the Turkish state and its collaborators. We respect the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the freedom of the peoples and Heval Zeki and Diyar Xerib who were martyred by the Turkish state and its collaborators. We will be the followers of our martyrs. As young people, we will pursue the truth.
We’re warning. As young people everywhere, we will take action to avenge our martyrs. We are saying enough to betrayal.
The gençlerzidî youth should fight against betrayal wherever they are. Because betrayal is killing people. Rebell, rebel, rebel against the fascist Turkish state and its collaborators.”
