The Central Committee of the PKK made a written statement saying, “K24 and the various other TV channels on the same line are broadcasting in Kurdistan based on black propaganda against Duran Kalkan and Bêsê Hozat, one of the leading cadres of the PKK. These channels are a tool for the plans and games of the genocidal Turkish state. It means nothing more than carrying water to the mill.”
The statement of the PKK Central Committee is as follows:
“The Turkish state intensifies the genocide attacks in Bakur, Bashur and Rojava of Kurdistan. Recently, it has been carrying out these attacks mainly in the form of psychological warfare, using some of the collaborator-treacherous people and forces.
What the genocidal Turkish state wants to do with these dirty war methods is clearly understood. It wants to give the appearance of civil war and conflict between the Kurds. As a matter of fact, with the method of psychological war in Bashur, it tries to create a psychological environment according to itself, attempting to give legitimacy to the colonial occupation in Kurdistan.
The colonialist Turkish state has further escalated its psychological war in recent years, especially since the beginning of 24 September 2017 with the independence referendum of Bashur Kurdistan. In recent days, this takes place through TV programmes, organised against the PKK, such as K24 and others along the same line.
It is noteworthy that such news and programs against the PKK have intensified recently in TV and news agencies, broadcasting in the direction of K24 and the like. It should be noted that the Turkish state has been carrying out the most intense attacks in Bashur of Kurdistan in recent years. Civilian massacres are taking place in these attacks. But there is a strong resistance against the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla. This reality is seen by all the people of Kurdistan and the democratic public opinion, especially those living in Bashur. This is a call for resistance by the Kurdistan community against Turkish colonialism.
The reaction of the Kurdistan society from the revolutionary-democratic and libertarian forces is the necessary response to this call. While there is such a reality, K24 and the various other TV channels on the same line are broadcasting in Kurdistan based on black propaganda against Duran Kalkan and Bêsê Hozat, one of the leading cadres of the PKK. These channels are a tool for the plans and games of the genocidal Turkish state. It means nothing more than carrying water to the mill.
All the people of Kurdistan, especially those living in Başûrê Kurdistan, see this reality. People and circles in the Southern Kurdistan formations such as KDP and YNK are not failing to react to such psychological war attacks. It is very clear that the people are not in favour of the conflict and war between the Kurdistan forces.
MOST KURDS LOSE IN HISTORICAL CONFLICTS
There have been conflicts between the Kurds in the past and these have caused great pain. As a result, the Kurds lost again. These conflicts were not initiated by the Kurds, but by the colonists. Therefore, they have always been profitable. Now a similar play has been staged by TC. This game should not be achieved. The national congress, which would mean the creation of a common will among the Kurds, must be convened immediately.
AIMS WILL NOT BE REACHED
This is the main task that stands before all Kurdistan forces. If this does not happen, it will be inevitable that Kurdistan society will experience a similar tragedy as that in the past. News and programs broadcast on K24 and similar TVs will also serve this purpose.
The attack on K24 on the KCK Co-President Bêsê Hozat is a male-dominated, sexist, ruling attack against the female liberation line developed by Leader Apo and his representation in the Kurdistan revolution.
The attacks on PKK board member Duran Kalkan are an attack on the democratic nation line which is the freedom project of the Kurdistan society.
In the course of these attacks, the degenerated, pessimistic personalities of which are known by everyone, were used on TV screens, and such personalities are in no way capable of shadowing the respectable and dignified positions of Bêsê Hozat and Duran Kalkan in the struggle for freedom and democracy in Kurdistan.
On this basis, we see what the real aims of these low and treacherous attacks, which are in no way acceptable, are carried out by Bêsê Hozat and Duran Kalkan, and we hereby declare that they cannot achieve their goals.”
