The Solidarity Committee for Martyr Families of PKK announces the martyrdom of 5 comrades on March 21st, as a result of Turkish airstrikes. The comrades who have been martyred are Sinanê Sor (Ali Aktaş), Serhat Amanos (Emrullah Dursun), Navdar Sinegir (Mikail Özdemir), Serhat Şafak (Vehip Tekin) and Şiyar Faraşin (Celal Öztürk).
In the massage that the committee sent to the families of the five martyrs, underlined: “They asked us for a free country, not a grave. Therefore, the greatest monument we will make for them is to build the ignorant and denied Kurdistan in the centre of the Middle East as a free country!”
The message released is as follows:
FOR THE SUCCESS OF SOCIETY
“Every stage of this struggle, which was started for the sake of freedom, has been achieved by paying heavy costs. The militants of this Movement have not hesitated to sacrifice their most precious beings for the success of these supreme goals, without thinking twice, in order to preserve the values created by all peoples, especially the Kurdish people.
Thet still fights for the success of our society and peoples by resisting against all kinds of colonialist and reactionary attacks with the spirit of great sacrifice, giving their lives when necessary.
MARTYYRED ON NEWROZ
On the 21st of March 2019, during the airstrikes carried out by the occupying, colonial Turkish state, Ali Aktaş with the code Sinanê Sor, Emrullah Dursun with the code Serhat Amanos, Mikail Özdemir with the code Navdar Sinegir, Vehip Tekin with the code Serhat Şafar and Celal Öztürk with the code Şiyar Faraşin reached martyrdom in Defense Zones.
AN UNINTERRUPTED FIGHT FOR 41 YEARS
Sinanê Sor, who met the PKK in 1978 and joined the Freedom Struggle at a very young age, being born in 1959 in Kızıltepe / Mardin. After graduating from high school, Sinanê Sor started to follow the path of leader Apo and during the past 41 years, until the last moment of his martyrdom, he had a breathless struggle from Beka to Botan and from there to all the mountains of Kurdistan.
LIFE IS THE SUMMARY OF THE PKK
Sinanê Sor has always solved problems with superior performance and moral power in all fields of struggle and institutions, he fulfils the competent representation of Apoist militancy at all levels, is a source of morale for his people and comrades, adds his experience and knowledge to the party struggle until the end.
He became a loyal follower and a distinguished militant of Leader Apo. In this respect, if Sinanê Sor is wanted to be understood, it is necessary to understand the PKK’s spirit, resistance, love of struggle, colonialism and the unbending anger against the betrayers who cooperate with them. Because the summary of the PKK, is hidden in the life of Sor.
COMPETENT REPRESENTATION OF MILITARIZATION
Another comrade who was martyred in the colonialist Turkish airstrike was Emrullah Dursun, code name Serhat Amanos, who joined the guerrilla ranks in 1991 in Cudi. Serhat Amanos was born in 1970 in the Varto district of Muş. He met with the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle during his university years, seeing the pain and troubles of our people closely, felt them deeply in his heart and found the way to end them in joining the guerrilla ranks.
With 28 years of self-sacrifice, he overcame all problems with the self-confidence gained by the Apoist command; he was the most competent representative of Leader Apo in command and militancy.
WAS INSISTING AND RECEIVER
Amanos was a Commander in 1999, when he retreated to the Media Defense Areas with a group of comrades captured the Syrian BAAS regime. After being held captive in Syrian dungeons for more than two years, Serhat Amanos joined the territory of the country and joined the political activities, diplomatic and diplomatic studies first. Then, as an active PKK militant. He participated in the national unity of our people with all his energy. He worked with ideological-political competence with his great love, devotion and sacrifice towards his people, country and Leader Apo; He has always contributed to his environment with his persistent and resultant working style.
In our struggle, he will always be remembered with the great efforts he contributed to the struggle for freedom, his insistence on the Apoist stance and his exemplary personality.
FROM WAR TO DIPLOMACY
Mikail Özdemir, named Navdar Sinegir, who was martyred as a result of the attack of the fascist Turkish state, joined the ranks of the struggle for freedom in Kurdistan in 1993. Navda Sinegir, born in 1974 in Bitlis / Hizan, attended Istanbul after graduating from high school.
During the first 26 years of struggle, he actively took part in the work of diplomacy as well as studies in Turkey, South Kurdistan, Syria, Iraq.
Navdar Sinegir, who participated in the works with the utmost sacrifice at the highest level, became a PKK militant, always asked about by his comrades with his humble and practical solution power. Not only the guerrilla but also in the heart of our people with deep matriotic consciousness, he established a throne in the hearts of his comrades.
With his power of thought, creativity, mastery in human relations and discipline in work, he became a beloved and popular Apoist militant.
FROM DERSIM TO SORAN
Vehip Tekin, codenamed Serhat Şafak, was born in 1974 in Ağrı. In 1988, he joined the guerrilla ranks at a very young age. In 1990, he came to Beka to undergo the education of Önder Apo. In addition to his ideological-political competence, he developed his personality as a military commander and returned to the country.
He was an active guerrilla in Dersim, Zagros, Xakurkê, Soran fields. In all these areas he carried out a relentless struggle against invading colonialism.
MOUNTAIN LOVER
Even though he lost his foot as a result stepping on a mine of the invading colonial forces, he did not stay back even for a day. In addition to folk studies in Rojhilat, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, he took part in the Social Sciences Academy and Literature studies.
As a veteran of the struggle for freedom, although physically challenged, he settled in the mountains, which were the most severe conditions of freedom, regardless of the circumstances. Because of this approach, he was called “Mountain Lover” among his friends.
With his humble personality, he has been a source of morale in all his works, and he has shown an exemplary personality with his labour. With more than 30 years of struggle, Apoist militancy embodied itself.
JOINED AT 18
Celal Öztürk, code name Şiyar Faraşin was born in Baskale, Van. In 2014 he joined the guerrilla as a teenager in his 18s. The labourer has always reached the Apoist militancy with his altruistic qualities.
MEMORIES ARE GUIDES
As always, in the struggle against this genocide system imposed on our people and peoples, we continued our way by growing with the power we received from our martyrs. The memories of these five comrades who joined the army of martyrs will be our guides today as they were yesterday.
This is the basis of the PKK dialectics. We will never forget our valiant and honourable defenders who regard the Kurdish people’s freedom as the only meaning of their lives, and we will remain committed to their ideals.
We send our condolences to the families of all the people of Kurdistan and our comrades who wear the crown of martyrdom. It must be known that we deeply share the suffering of our people and our families and that we, as friends of arms, suffer as much as the families from the comrade’s testimony.
We are trying to alleviate our pain by carrying this pain with the weapon and flag they carry, and raising the struggle along the lines of all martyrs. We expect you, our esteemed family members, to meet this news with great patience and pride and approach you in the same direction.
MORE FIGHT
The people did not attain their freedom without paying a price, do not deserve honourable life. The best way to end suffering is to immortalize our martyrs. This means more struggle to achieve their goals. As the struggle rises, our martyrs will live forever in the vast hearts of our people.
HOW PROUD YOU MUST BE
Sinanê Sor, martyred on the eve of the revolution, Serhat Varto, Navdar Sinegir, Serhat Şafak and Şiyar Faraşin are heroic sons, how proud you must be for having brothers and relatives.
As their companions, we have always been proud. Apart from realizing their goals, we will not include anything in our lives. Because as our martyrs handed over the flags they carried to us in honour, they marched on the enemy with a sacrificing spirit, believing in this reality.
They are our primary source of power; our past, present and future. The right answer to their memory will be a free people and a free country.
WANTED A FREE COUNTRY
They didn’t ask for anything else. We know that many of our martyrs do not even have graves. They wanted a free country, not a grave from us. Therefore, the greatest monument we will make for them is to build the ignorant and denied Kurdistan in the centre of the Middle East as a free country! This is the only monument in which our martyrs can sleep comfortably! This is our only vow that we repeat every day and we will never contradict!
On this basis, we wish to condemn our martyrs by mobilizing all our cells in order to realize the Kurdish Middle East, Free Kurdistan poem, and wish our condolences to our people and the families of our martyrs. Once again, we commemorate our martyrs, the creator of our freedom, with respect. ”
