Mersin’s fascist Cumhuriyet public prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation into HDP Youth Assembly members, 7 of which have been detained, and members of the Yeni Yasam gazette. The fascist prosecutor labelled every social activity carried out by the youth, as an illegal activity, including dispensing newspapers.
The fascist prosecutor also criminalised DTK CoChair Leyla Guvens hunger strike action, launched to break the isolation being imposed on the Peoples Leader, Abdullah Ocalan. It used articles posted by various press sources, to support this argument. Today, our agency, Nuce Ciwan, appeared on the list of press sources used to support distorted claims, in order to criminalise anyone who does not agree with the fascism of the state.
The allegations about Nuce Ciwan Agency are as follows:
“As it has been made clear on the `Nuce Ciwan` website, which speaks from the mouth of the PKK/KCK terrorist organisation; in the HDP Mersin province building, a new organisation has been formed under the HDP Youth Assembly, and uses HDP Youth Assembly as a legal shield.
The HDP Youth Assembly is the youth organisation of the PKK and is formed of members of the DGH (Revolutionary Youth Movement), they carry out their activities in accordance with the commands of the PKK. Under the name of the HDP Youth Assembly, which is being used as legal protection, these structures aim to hide the youth organisation of the PKK/KCK terrorist organisation, DGH.”
From Nuce Ciwan:
On such a historic day, the international day devoted to the struggle of the free press, the accusations being made to our agency, is a clear demonstration of the intolerance of the fascist Turkish state towards the free press.
As a youth agency, we will continue to expose every kind of pressure and force imposed on the youth of Kurdistan, Turkey and the world. We are going to continue to share every action, celebration and declaration of the youth, this is not going to change.
As a democratic and unbiased agency, we reject every accusation made to our behalf and disclose that we do not have any relations with the aforementioned youth organisations.
We condemn every limitation that is being imposed on our agency by the fascist Turkish state. We especially condemn the fascist prosecutor who is in an attempt to limit our rights as the free press.
Our work will continue undisrupted, and on behalf of the Nuce Ciwan news agency: we will continue to be the voice of every member of the youth.
On the path of truth,
Nuce Ciwan News Agency
