As a result of the operation organized by the occupying Amed Provincial Police Department in the morning, there were suspicions that Mücahit Yılmaz, who was killed in a house, was executed by the fascist police.
The police officers raided the house of Ahmet and Birsen Yoldaş, a couple who live on the Karacadağ Street of Rezan district. Following a raid on the 3rd floor of the apartment building, a citizen named Mücahit Yılmaz was killed.
The Turkish Ministry of Interior declared that Yılmaz was “a member of an organization that came from rural areas” without mentioning that the killing occurred after clashes. Witnesses’ statements and the findings in the house where the incident took place brought to mind the question of whether Yılmaz was executed.
NO CLASH
Yilmaz was killed in the house, the door was not broken. There were no signs of firing from the house where there were no signs of conflict. There is no sign that Yilmaz responded to the fire from the balcony of the house where he was killed.
NO WEAPON
Witnesses’ testimony reinforces suspicions of execution. Diagnosis taken on the balcony Yilmaz’s funeral witnesses, Yilmaz said there was no gun next to the body. It was noted that there were two bullet traces in the kitchen cabinet and it could have been fired from outside.
According to these findings, Mücahit Yılmaz was shot either from outside on the balcony of the house on the third floor or taken to the balcony of the house during the raid and killed.
THE MINISTRY DID NOT SAY ‘CONFLICT’
In his statement, the Ministry of Interior did not use the term “conflict.” The ministry’s statement did not include a statement that the murdered person had weapons. The ministry claimed that weapons and ammunition were seized in the house where the incident took place.
