A mass ceremony was held in Kandil for martyrs Helmet (Diyar Xerîb), Devran (Murat Gündüz) and Şahin Dicle (Abdulkadir Aslan), a member of the KCK Presidential Council, who was martyred in the air raid on July 5 by Turkish warplanes.
THOUSANDS OF VEHICLES COME TO KANDIL BY CONVOY
In the morning, thousands of people from South Kurdistan, namely Kirkuk, Hewlêr, Sulaymaniyah, gathered in the Raperin region and moved towards the region to attend the ceremony in Kandil.
After reaching the convoy consisting of thousands of vehicles, the Kandil march was held.
The people walked with photos of the People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, and KCK General Assembly Council Member martyr Helmet. The photographs of Sirwan and Şehit Viyan Soran and the flags of the PKK and KCK were carried through the region, shouting ‘martyrs are immortal’.
Martyr Helmets’s sister also participated in the march, where women were at the forefront.
KDP PREVENTED PARTICIPATION OF PEOPLE IN MAXMUR
On the other hand, KDP blocked the audience who wanted to attend the ceremony from the Maxmur camp.
Coming in the early hours of the morning with the vehicles set out towards the Raperin region. However, the KDP public order stopped the vehicles and did not allow the passage of the Murmur. After waiting for a while, the people were forced to return to their camps.
