MEXMUR
According to local sources, fighter planes belonging to the occupying Turkish state bombed the Mexmur camp. During the day, intense reconnaissance planes were reported to assess the area.
The attack started at 10 am local time and bombs were thrown at least three times. A source from Mexmur said they heard three violent explosions. Reconnaissance flights were made during the attack.
The occupying Turkish state has increased its systematic attacks on civilian settlements from Basurê Kurdistan in recent months.
Turkish warplanes also bombed the village of Spindar in the district of Amediye in Duhok on Friday. Three civilians were injured in the attack.
It is not the first time, the Maxmur Refugee camp, where more than 12,000 refugees live, is the target of Turkish state attacks. In the air raid on December 13, 2018, four civilians were killed.
Both the Iraqi government and the KDP-dominated government in Hewlêr remain silent on attacks on civilians and camps.
