Police in the district of Raperin Qeladizê detained two live shield activist, also members of the Matriotic Youth Movement of Kurdistan.
One of the detainees is Mihemed Newzad who lives in Çemçemal and the other is Rênwar Eli, who lives in the Sengeser town of Süleymaniye.
Hiwa Kerküki, Member of the Board of the Patriotic Youth Movement of Kurdistan, stated that “Mihemed Newzad was arrested in Sengeser after returning from the live shield action in Binarê Qendil. Rênwar Eli, who went to the police station to get information on the detainees was also arrested. There is no official reason for the detainment of the activists.”
Hiwa Kerkuki said “the phones of the two detainees have been confiscated, therefore we have not heard from the detained activists. Any information about where the two detainees is being kept.”
