The KCK Presidential Council issued a written statement about the attack by the occupying Turkish state with the support of local collaborators and the martyrdom of KCK Presidential Council member Helmet (Diyar Xerip) with two of his comrades.
The statement of the KCK Presidential Council is as follows:
“Comrade Diyar Xerip (Helmet), our member of the KCK General Presidency Council and our comrades Şahin and Devran were martyred in the Kandil area on 5 July with the support of the local collaborators of the fascist colonialist-genocide state.
Thus, the people of Kurdistan have embraced a great pioneer, truth warrior, world of consciousness with their two valiant comrades. First of all, we send our condolences to Leader Apo, our esteemed martyr families, the matriotic people of Kurdistan and all his comrades.
We strongly condemn the forces and supporters of this treacherous, hideous and brutal attack.
We reiterate that we will not leave the blood of our dear comrade on the ground.
WEAK IN THE FACE OF THE GUERRILLA, THE INVADERS SEEK REFUGE IN THIS KIND OF ATTACK
Since 26 May 2019, the fascist Turkish colonialism, especially in the Xakurkê and Bradost areas, has begun an occupation operation with a neo-Ottoman mentality. However, in the face of the heroic guerrillas, the brave and valiant sons of the Kurdish people, the invaders could not get the result they wanted.
The occupying forces, which suffered a heavy defeat, resorted to such treacherous attacks.
This treacherous attack was not only made to the person of comrade Helmet, it is an attack to the Kurdish people and the struggle for freedom.
As the Freedom Movement became socialized from the first day, it reinforces the brotherhood and unity of the peoples, increases its persistent struggle in the work of national unity and gains the trust and support of our people as a powerful alternative. This attack is a sabotage attempt to the ideological and political aims and gains of all our people.
MAM ZEKİ AND HELMET COMDATES WILL CONTINUE TO BE SYMBOLS OF RESISTANCE
At a time when the colonialist genocidal Turkish state and betrayal networks attempted to perpetuate the invasion of Southern Kurdistan, the aim of Comrade Helmet is to channel the great anger of the South people against the occupying Turkish state into an organized and fruitful resistance. However, Turkish colonists will not be able to prevent the organization of the growing resistance of Bashur people against betrayal and colonial occupation.
Comrade Helmet was the practical-political pioneer of this resistance yesterday and we will continue to successfully carry out his pioneering mission as the line, spirit and highest moral value of this resistance.
Just as Comrade Mam Zeki Şengali, who was subjected to a similar vicious attack in Shengal, is today the line and spiritual pioneer of the unity, alliance, resistance and freedom of the Shengal people, comrade Helmet will continue to be a symbol of Kurdish national unity, democratization and anticolonialism.
Comrade Helmet, coming as an enlightened youth from Southern Kurdistan, has witnessed many genocides and massacres, including genocide and massacres committed by the fascist Saddam dictatorship in Southern Kurdistan since his childhood.
With great foresight and consciousness, he made his preference for the freedom guerrilla of Kurdistan and ran to the mountains and met with Leader Apo. With a deep sense of the history of Kurdistan, he has realized his ideological-political preference by seeing the reality of our enemies and the policies of our enemies. In the practice of quarter-century struggle, he has deepened in his choice and has risen to a true pioneer level.
Comrade Helmet carried out a breathless struggle with the belief that the Kurdish people and all peoples lived in freedom and democracy. Comrade Helmet, as a pioneer comrade who lives the deepest matriotism of the Southern people and feels the pain of the people, devotes himself completely to the struggle, leaving aside all kinds of individual choices. He quests to triumph the unity of the Kurdistan people and carrying the cause of liberty in victory.
He fulfilled his duties with great love and passion
Comrade Helmet has sacrificed anything standing in the way of the unity of the Kurdish people and other peoples without hesitation; he has fulfilled his duties at every level with great passion and love. Altruistic, selfless, humble, he has spent every hour of the day working for the freedom struggle of the Kurdish people.
Comrade Helmet will continue to live forever in the heart and consciousness of us and all our people as an exemplary comrade, always and everywhere, with his infinite devotion to freedom, sensitivity to the national unity of the people of Kurdistan, conscious and enlightened personality, and a modest stance of life.
DIRTY GAMES WILL FAIL
The fascist colonialist-genocidal Turkish state and all the forces on which it is based must know this very well, that the martyrdom of Helmet and the planned dirty games, which ignore the gains of the Kurdish people and in particular the part of Southern Kurdistan, will not reach its aim.
Once again, our General President Council member commemorates dear comrade Diyar Xerip with respect and gratitude, based on our loyalty to all our heroic immortal martyrs and our Leadership, and our determination to achieve a common unity of peoples by building their ideal and objective democratic nation.
In the memory of Comrade Helmet and Sahin and Devran, who were martyred as a result of the attack of the colonial Turkish state; we urge the entire Kurdistan people, their friends, all the Kurdistan youth and women, to strengthen the unity and solidarity of the Turkish colonial resistance. “
