In a written statement KCK Executive Council Co-Presidency stated that In the airstrikes carried out by the invading Turkish state fighters in Kandil on July 5, KCK General Presidency Council member Diyar Xarib (Helmet) and the guerrillas named Devran and Şahin were martyred.
KCK Executive Council Co-Presidency statement is as follows:
In the airstrike against Kandil on July 5, our General Presidency Council member Helmet (Diyar Xarib) was martyred with comrades Devran and Şahin (Abdulkadir Aslan). We commemorate our martyrs with respect and gratitude.
Their commitment to the struggle will be raised, the free Kurdistan, the democratic Middle East demands will surely be seen through. Agents involved in this attack will eventually be punished. Comrade Helmet’s martyrdom did not happen by chance. A planned attack was carried out with the collaborators and agents of the Turkish state in Basurê Kurdistan.
At a time when the invasion attacks against Basurê Kurdistan increased, Comrade Helmet, who was raised by the people of Basurê Kurdistan, was targeted. With this attack, it was aimed to both; strike our Freedom Movement and weaken the struggle of the people of Bashore Kurdistan against the occupation.
HE CONSCIOUSLY RECOGNIZED THE PAINS OF BASHURE KURDISTAN PEOPLE
Comrade Helmet has taken responsibility in every aspect of our struggle for freedom for 25 years. Comrade Helmet, who has been trained by Leader Apo himself, is a member of the PKK Central Committee and KCK Executive Council. He has been the President and Co-President of Vienna.
With his deep historical consciousness, he has given the history of Kurdistan lesson in all our educations and ensured that our comrades, militants and all the people of Kurdistan are equipped with the correct historical consciousness.
As a comrade from Kurdistan, he understood the struggle of the people of Kurdistan and the sufferings of his family as well as the damages caused by the lack of national unity. For this reason, he worked hard for national unity; he also reacted greatly to non-unity understandings.
He understood that harm to the struggle in Bakurê Kurdistan, which is the biggest part of Kurdistan, would harm and betray the whole Kurdistan people. He expressed his sensitivity in this way by spreading the ideas of the Leadership, which he saw as guaranteeing the free future of Kurdistan.
HE WAS WORKING TO BREAK THE SILENCE IN BASHURE KURDISTAN
Comrade Helmet considers the support and silence of Southern political forces in the Xakurke attack of the Turkish state and the invasion of Bashore Kurdistan as a historical blunder. Aware of the fact that if the struggle of the Kurdish Freedom Movement along the line of Leader Apo was weakened, all the gains in Basurê Kurdistan would be endangered. He was working to eliminate the silence in Basurê Kurdistan.
As part of these studies, he interviewed the Derin Peshmergas going to Kandil. Helmet tried to reveal the reactions of the people of Kurdistan, non-governmental organizations and political forces. The fact that the conspiracy against the comrade Helmet and the attack took place in this process shows that this attack was made through the agents, organized by the Turkish intelligence organization MIT and its collaborators.
Comrade Helmet is targeted as a member of the KCK Presidential Council. As the Presidential Council, it oversees the implementation of the KCK system along the Leadership line; they made suggestions for correcting deficiencies and provided warnings as necessary.
From the day he took this post to the martyrdom, Helmet participated in the studies with a great concentration on the basis of great devotion to Leader Apo. He has made a great contribution to the work of the Presidential Council through his thought power, effort and labour. Therefore, this attack is also an attack on the ideological and political line of Leader Apo.
THE PEOPLE OF KURDISTAN LOST A VERY VALUABLE CHILD
Especially the people of Bashure Kurdistan, along with all the people of Kurdistan have lost their precious children. The people of Kurdistan, political forces, non-governmental organizations, young people and women were well acquainted with Helmet. His humble and determined revolutionary personality deeply influenced the people of Bashore in Kurdistan, and his martyrdom would be just as shocking.
The people of Kurdistan in Bashur will not forget the loss of such a great revolutionary.
Undoubtedly, his stance against cooperation and ignorance and fight for the sense of national unity will also live and survive in the Raperins of the people of Kurdistan. Comrade Martyr Helmet’s greatest desire was to raise the fight against the invaders everywhere. The attack on any part of Kurdistan was an attack to other parts of Kurdistan.
Against the AKP-MHP fascism, he demanded that the people of Basurê Kurdistan resist the invasion of Basurê Kurdistan with the spirit of Raperin. Because, if the resistance against this occupation is not resisted, the struggle for freedom of all the people of Kurdistan, especially the gains in Bashure Kurdistan will face dangers.
In this respect, Basurê Kurdistan and our people in all parts should stand up against the attacks of the Turkish state in all parts of Kurdistan and show the Kurdish matriotism that has been shaped in the struggles given heavy costs to the whole world.
We call on the people of Bashure Kurdistan to give the necessary response to those who are in disinterest and occupying genocidal colonists by adopting the highest level of comrade Helmet, the esteemed sons of the symbol of national unity and Raperin’s spirit as an indicator of this attitude.
