After a minute of silence in the memory of the All Revolution Martyrs, a cortege of Kurdish and International youth and participants marched with the photographs of the Martyrs, the People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and YPG-YPJ flags. During the march, slogans were often shouted for the martyrs of the Revolution, for the People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and on the solidarity.
After the march, Marius Sackers spoke on behalf of the Internationalist Youth Alliance. Marius touched upon the process from the construction of the festival to the present and said that the festival was a big step towards unity and partnership in the coming period.
After the speech made on behalf of the Alliance, Lardy the music group from Basque Country took the stage.
The players in the teams of SV Kurdistan and BV Azadi Wuppertal played for the 3rd trophy; while the Free Youth Paris Team played against Amed Athletic.
Next on stage was Koma Siyabend where, despite the rain, folk dances were played with great enthusiasm.
Next on stage was Rojava Martyr Anna Campbell’s father Dirk Campbell describing sections of Anna’s childhood. Dirk said that he will stand by her path until the end.
As the last speakers of the day, the messages of YDG, Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger, Basque and Catalan activists were read. In the messages, the climate problem was taken into focus and again the importance of international struggle was emphasized. Jinên Ciwan ên Azad also prepared a theatre that revealed that all the problems stem from the male-dominated system, stressing the need to carry out a collective struggle of women against it.
Apart from the stage flow, chess, children’s games, table tennis activities, panels and exhibitions held in the festival area attracted great attention. Youth’s enthusiasm and morale continued to the end despite the last weather conditions.
