CENTRAL NEWS

The occupation operations by the Turkish state and its KDP collaborators continue to target-oriented attacks within Kurdistan.

In addition to the military bases and units of the Turkish state in Kurdistan; KDP has now opened centres for the MIT (Turkish Intelligence). Most of these are in Dihok, while Hewler and Zaxo are also infested.

Within these centres, the occupying Turkish army tries to gather intelligence by forcibly activating the civilian population. A Turkish state that carried out civilian massacres, using this intelligence has so far killed hundreds of civilians.

Apart from the abovementioned regions, the occupying Turkish state has been occupying the Bradost area since last year.

REACTION OF PUBLIC

Under international law, the military power of another state cannot cross its borders unless one state gives its approval. The military bases of the Turkish state were established with the approval of the Federated Kurdistan administration. When the military base of the Turkish state in Bashika came to the agenda, the Federated Government announced that the Turkish soldiers were here with their own knowledge.

The soldiers deployed at these bases carried out attacks on the people and the region kidnapped and massacred the citizens: they also carried out attacks against the Kurdistan Freedom Movement at every opportunity. The people of the region react to these forces and ask them to leave the region.

The Iraqi government has repeatedly demanded that the occupying forces of the Turkish state leave Iraq. In fact, the Federated Kurdistan Parliament made a decision to remove the Turkish forces in 2003. However, the KDP prevented the implementation of the decision as well as the other initiatives of the Iraqi state.

The people of Bashur, on the other hand, reacted constantly to the occupation of the territories by various actions. The most obvious of these reactions; During the Zap attack of the Turkish army in 2008, when the soldiers in Amediyê and Bamernê bases wanted to attack with tanks, the people did not allow them to leave their barracks.

The other and most important reaction was the gathering in Dêralok against the civilian massacres of the Turkish state on January 26, despite the obstacles of the security forces. On the same day, the people marched towards Sîrê Military Base in Şêladizê, entered the military base and set fire to the military vehicles. Despite the obstruction by the security forces, the people who crossed the wires and entered the military base showed their anger towards the Turkish state by shouting slogans “Enemy Erdogan” and “Killer Erdogan”. Thousands wanted the Turkish soldiers who had been occupying positions in Bashar for years, to leave. 2 civilians were killed and 6 civilians were injured in the attack of Turkish soldiers. One of the murdered was a child.
