In a written statement, the HPG Press Liasion Center (BİM) said: “the invading Turkish state, which struggles against the Liberation Guerrilla of Kurdistan, is trying to carry out a perception operation on our people through the private war media. The invaders, who had suffered heavy blows against guerrillas from Xakurkê to Zap, from Zap to Dersim, wanted to create demoralization in our matriotic people through this kind of untruthful news and desire to paint the eyes of fascist circles.
In this context, the inhumane attacks on Media Defense Areas and Southern Kurdistan are being served to the press as though they were organised by the MIT who had received Co-ordinates. This is a game of manipulation. There are attempts to discredit the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla by spreading the news that 5 people have surrendered together in Botan.
First of all, as the Central Headquarters explained to the press, the MIT action in Hewlêr has no relation to our forces. Therefore, there is no coordinated action in guerrilla areas. It is obvious that this kind of news was used as an attempt to cover up the insolvency it has experienced by the actions of the matriotic Kurdish youth and to save face.
When referring to the 5 people who were reported to have surrendered in Botan, what is actually meant is that some of the personalities, purchased by the Republic of Turkey in Southern Kurdistan, had previously broken away from our ranks. There is no case of surrender in Şırnak.
We call on all the matriotic and democratic public to be sensitive to the special war games of the colonial AKP-MHP government, which lives its last steps in the face of our righteous struggle.”
