HPG Shares Update on Ongoing Actions: 13 Occupation Soldiers Killed

HPG Press Liasion Center (BİM) made a written statement, sharing the details of the actions of HPG and YJA Star guerrillas.

The statement released by HPG BİM is as follows:

“Within the scope of Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya Revolutionary Assault, our forces organized effective actions against the occupying Turkish army on 29 July. The details of the actions performed are as follows:

At 10.30, our forces organized an action against the unit of the occupation operation around the Martyr Sarya Hill of the Xakurkê region from the Media Defense Areas. The number of dead and wounded soldiers could not be determined in this action where the enemy unit was effectively shot.

At 11.30 am, our forces carried out an action against a convoy of armoured vehicles of the invading Turkish army from the Astenga Res station in the district of Gever (Yüksekova) in Hakkari towards Wargenima station.

With the sabotage tactic used in this action, a hedgehog-type armoured vehicle was destroyed completely, while 13 soldiers were also killed. After the action, the invading Turkish army randomly bombed the surrounding area with heavy weapons and removed the dead soldiers from the area with Skorsky helicopters.

COBRA TYPE HELICOPTERS 

On July 29, between 21.00 and 23.00, the invading Turkish army carried a large number of armored vehicles to the Coordinated Hill of Çelê (Çukurca) district of Hakkari. During this shipment, cobra-type helicopters bombed Xeregol and Şelalê areas and became the targets of our forces. The helicopters, which were put under intense fire, were forced to move away from the area.

CAR TRANSPORTING MATERIAL TO POLICE STATION HIT

Within the scope of the Martyr Media Mawa and Martyr Rızgar Gever Revenge Movements in Botan, our forces organized an action against a vehicle carrying materials to the Şuxa police station of Pervari district of Siirt on July 28th at 17.15.

The number of dead and wounded soldiers in this action, in which the enemy vehicle was effectively hit and blown, could not be determined. Following the action, the invading Turkish army randomly bombed the area with heavy weapons and as a result, a fire broke out in the forest.

4 GUERRILLAS FELL MARTYR

On July 27, at 09.30 am, warplanes belonging to the invading Turkish army bombed the Cangiza village area of ​​Tatvan district of Bitlis. Four of our friends were martyred in these bombings. Following the bombings, the invading Turkish army launched an operation in the area. The operation withdrew from the area at around 14.30 on the same day.

The identity information of our friends who reached martyrdom will be shared with the public later.

MEDIA DEFENSE AREAS

On July 29, the fighter planes of the invading Turkish army carried out airstrikes on the Media Defense Areas. In this context, at 13.00, the Tepê Sor area connected to Avaşin area, 19.00 at the Werxelê area connected to the Zap area, at 22.45, the Martyr Beritan area connected to the Xakurkê area; were bombed.

We did not suffer any loss in these bombings. ”
