HPG Press Liasion Center released the identities of Hamza (Fatih Demir), Kendal (İbrahim Fırat), Bahoz (Veysi Cebe), Çekdar (Cüneyt Yılmaz), and Şahan (Yunus Koçhan) who were martyred in Xakurkê.
HPG, commemorated the martyrs, saying:
On May 27, the invading Turkish army launched an invasion from the Media Defense Areas towards Xakurkê. Our forces responded with a historic resistance to this invasion attack, causing heavy losses to the enemy in many places.
During the operation, we lost some of the clashes and bombings on different dates. These losses will be shared with the public as we clarify them.
Our forces, who heroically resisted the occupation, exhibited a historic resistance against the enemy with the slogan of “no passage to the invader.”
We commemorate our comrades Hamza (Fatih Demir), Kendal (İbrahim Fırat), Bahoz (Veysi Cebe), Çekdar (Cüneyt Yılmaz) and Şahan (Yunus Koçhan) who wrote heroic epics by sacrificing themselves against the enemy’s latest technology.

Our comrade Kendal Deniz was born in 1984 in the Suruç district of Urfa. Growing up in a matriotic family, Comrade Kendal saw at a very early age that Kurdistan was under exploitation, the oppression of the invaders and how a people were denied.
Comrade Kendal, who grew up in the culture of the holy land where he was born, never gave in to the cruelty, and joined the guerrilla ranks in 2005, giving direction to the areas where the resistance against this cruelty was shouted and the glory of victory was drawn.
Comrade Kendal, who spent his first years in guerrilla in Zagros mountains, like himself, was always an exemplary guerrilla among his comrades with his reassuring militant stance, sacrifice and courage. In a short period of time, he developed himself in the military and ideological line of Leader Apo and became a commander in the guerrilla. Comrade Kendal has always shown the sacrifice of lifting the heaviest loads without any hesitation.
Comrade Kendal, who always seeks to be the right answer to the leadership, martyrs and our people, has taken part in many areas of our movement and has been able to approach all the assigned tasks with a self-sacrificing discipline and take the success line as the basis. In Xakurkê, which is his last place of duty, the comrade has shown superior resistance against the occupation operation that the fascist Turkish state wants to carry out and has been a symbol of courage.
Our comrade Rubar Qamışlo, born in 1992 in Van, showed his honourable stance in 2014, when the oppression and attacks against the Kurdish people increased, and he headed to guerrilla ranks.
Our comrade Hamza, who spent the first years of guerrillaism in Serhat, clung to the challenging conditions of the area with a passion for the love of freedom and deepened himself in the ideology of Leader Apo like the majesty of Mount Ararat. Comrade Hamza, who is a source of morale with his hard work and valiant stance in all fields, has joined the caravan of martyrs by causing heavy losses to the enemy in the Xakurkê area, which is his duty area.
Our friend Bahoz Serhıldan was born in Mardin. Growing up in a patriotic environment, our Bahoz friend witnessed the oppression and torture in Kurdistan at an early age and joined the guerrilla ranks in 2014 as a search for revenge. Comrade Bahoz, who is a follower of children running for freedom, has shown intense practice with his whole self in order to leave free tomorrows to the future and has been a devoted, laborer and follower of the Leadership line in all fields where he works in.
Born in Lice district of Amed in a matriotic family in 1995, our comrade Çekdar Tolhıldan has always seen the attacks of the invading Turkish state. He grew up with the narratives of how Lice was burned and how his people were massacred.
Comrade Çekdar, a follower of Lice’s valiant youth, joined the guerrilla ranks of the heroic epics in 2015, taking revenge and expelling the invaders from Kurdistan. Comrade Çekdar, who has deepened in the essence of Önder Apo philosophy, has become a source of morale to his comrades with his honest, devoted and loving voice.
Our comrade Şahan was born in 1997 in Van to a matriotic family. Comrade Şahan, who has experienced the oppression of the enemy in his environment, joined the ranks of freedom in 2014 against this injustice and genocide policies.
Comrade Şahan adapted to guerrilla life at a very quickly from the first moment he participated, he became a devoted participant of life with all the purity of his heart. Comrade Şahan, who maintains his own values and walks along the lines of our heroic martyrs on this basis, has always been a friend who impresses his comrades with his stance.
Comrade Şahan, who heroically resisted the enemy under any circumstances, is one of our immortal comrades who joined the caravan of martyrs in Xakurkê.
We send our our condolences to all the matriotic families of Kurdistan and especially the dear families of comrades Hamza (Fatih Demir), Kendal (İbrahim Fırat), Bahoz (Veysi Cebe), Çekdar (Cüneyt Yılmaz) and Şahan (Yunus Koçhan).
We promise that we will raise their struggle further to victory.
