HPG Actions: 13 Occupation Soldiers Killed, Including Two High-Ranks

HPG Liasion Contact Center made a written statement and announced that the guerrilla forces killed 13 invading Turkish soldiers, including Major Zafer Akkuş, Bitlis Central District Gendarmerie Commander, in the last 3 days.

“For a while, the occupying Turkish army has established a checkpoint on a hill in order to ensure road safety on Bitlis and Hizan road. Our forces have followed the mobility on this hill where the occupying Turkish army is located.

At 19.00 on 19 July, our forces organized a sabotage action against a transit of the invading Turkish army moving towards this hill. While the targeted vehicle was completely destroyed, a total of 7 enemy soldiers, including the Bitlis Central District Gendarmerie Commander Major Zafer Akkuş, were killed and 5 soldiers were injured.

Following the action, the invading Turkish army randomly scanned the area of ​​action and its surroundings with assault helicopters and armoured vehicles.

Our unit carrying out the action has safely reached base areas.

At 14.00 on the same day, our forces organized a sabotage action against a base station in the Şehit Mizgin area of ​​the Tatvan district of Bitlis. The base station was destroyed as a result of the action taken.

Within the scope of Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya Revolutionary Movements, our forces organized effective actions against the occupation operations initiated by the occupying Turkish army in Xakurkê.

The details of the acts of heavy blows to the occupying army are as follows:

On July 18, the invaders trying to land with Skorsky helicopters in the Dola Çingene area became the target of our forces. Enemy units were taken under intense fire by two forces and 4 soldiers were killed, 1 soldier was injured as a result of effective shots.

Our forces also targeted drone-type unmanned aerial vehicles trying to fly over the area simultaneously. The drone, which was hit strikingly, was destroyed.

Following the action, the invading Turkish army removed the dead and wounded soldiers from the area with the support of the attack helicopters. The invading Turkish army, which was defeated in the face of this action carried out by our forces, had to withdraw its troops from this area.

In the morning of 20 July, our forces organized a sabotage action against an operation unit of the occupying Turkish army located on the Helicopter Hill. 2 soldiers were killed and 1 soldier was wounded in this action. The invading Turkish army bombed the area with assault helicopters, removing the dead and wounded soldiers from the area with Skorsky helicopters.

Our troops organizing the actions have safely reached base areas.

On July 19, within the scope of Martyr Media Mawa and Martyr Rızgar Gever Revenge units, our forces organized an action with sabotage tactic against a unit of the invading Turkish army carrying out search and field surveys near the village of Zıvıngê in Şırnak.

The number of dead and wounded soldiers could not be determined in this action where dead and wounded soldiers were evaluated. Following the action, the invading Turkish army removed the dead and wounded soldiers from the area with Skorsky type helicopters.

On 08 July at 08.00, the occupying Turkish army bombed the Talê area of ​​the Gever (Yüksekova) district of Hakkari with warplanes. Two of our friends reached the martyrs in these bombings. The registration information of our friends who reached the martyrdom will be shared with the public later.

On July 19 at 16.30 the fighter planes belonging to the occupying Turkish army bombed Hakkari Hill from the Media Defense Areas and the Martyr Beritan area of ​​the Xakurkê region on July 20 between 11.00 and 13.00. We did not suffer any loss in these bombings.”
