On July 28, 2019, HBDH Militia made a written statement about the fire that broke out on a ship in Ambarlı Port of Istanbul which became unusable as a result.
“The biggest threat to the fraternity of the peoples of the region is the existence of the AKP-MHP fascism in power. Those who have an interest in occupation and colonialism are those in power.
We, as the HBDH Militia, carried out sabotage action on the cargo ship anchored in Istanbul Ambarlı Port on 28 July.2019.
After the fire, the ship was rendered unusable, and our action towards the economy of the fascist system, which produced exploitation and worker murders, interrupted the port activities for hours.
Turkey’s labourers and oppressed peoples are imposed on poverty and misery by the ruling power, which continues to live a luxurious life in palaces. By saying “there are planes, helicopters, peanuts, chickpeas, we don’t throw the money away. There is an economy,” he justifies stealing from the public and investing in war merchants and his own luxury.
The partner in fascism, Bahçeli, targets Rojava by pointing to the east of the Euphrates, saying “if need be, we will be bombs, if need be we will rain fire” and dreams of slaughtering the oppressed people.
The biggest threat to the fraternity of the peoples of the region is the existence of the AKP-MHP fascism in power. Those who have an interest in occupation and colonialism are those in power.
As long as Turkey labourers and oppressed peoples oppose this war, the bread will become smaller, they will writhe in pain while they serve the growth of the wealth of Erdogan and his family.
The land which they say they will rain fires and bombs upon is the land where the Kurdish, Arab, Turkmen, Yazidi, Assyrian, Armenian people live together, manage together.
If we stay in the audience, the fire of the occupation, the massacre will fall to every house except the palace. While they build ship fleets for their children, they will send the poor children to the slaughter of brotherly peoples and give speeches at the beginning of burials. Those who carry fire to our brother’s, our neighbour’s house, will drown in the smoke of the fire they set.
If the peoples, labourers, women and young people are not safe on this land, the people in the palace, and its supporters should not feel safe.
Those who intend to burn fireballs in the house of oppressed peoples in Rojava are going to drown in the smoke of that fire that is already rising from the skies of Istanbul and Izmir.”
