HBDH Militias undertook an action against luxury yachts, which became unusable as a result of a fire set in the marinas, in Istanbul and Izmir.
In Istanbul on 26 July 2019, a total of three luxury yachts were targetted, becoming unusable. The HBDH militias made a written statement and claimed the action.
Explanation of HBDH Militia
“This action is aimed at the bosses who dismiss the workers and the labourers, seizing their salaries and establish luxurious lives for themselves.
Two luxury yachts in Ataköy Marina and Pendik Marina were set on fire on July 26, 2019, and destroyed. Again, a luxury yacht in Izmir was destroyed in the same way.
These yachts belong to the classes that are enriched by exploiting the labour and efforts of workers, filling their safes with money as a result of the AKP’s plundering policy, fed by war, exploitation, occupation and colonialism.
In recent days, the AKP-MHP fascism threatens all the peoples of the region, especially the Kurdish people, with a new occupation operation. AKP, the major partner of ISIS, now wants to do what the gangs cannot do by building a mass of troops at the Rojava border; setting fire against Rojava means throwing people into fire.
However, every invasion and massacre fever ignited there will burn themselves in Istanbul and Izmir. We will not abandon those who are enriched by war, occupation and fascism, and who establish luxurious lives for themselves.
If only one small child of the oppressed peoples cannot sleep peacefully at night, those who are fed by this war will not be able to sleep comfortably in their beds.”
