HPG Press Liaison Center (BİM) made a written statement sharing that the invading Turkish soldiers’ operations of occupation and genocide continue in Southern Kurdistan. It was disclosed that three invading Turkish Soldiers were killed by HPG guerrillas in a sabotage action organised against the Turkish army’s construction machinery in Gever.
HPG BİM stated:
“TURKISH ARMY BOMBS THE SLOPES OF SHIKERÊ SIPÎ HILL
On the night of July 13, the fighter planes belonging to the invading Turkish army bombed the Martyr Eziz Hill of the Xakurkê region from the Media Defense Areas. The Helicopter Hill was also bombed at night hours on July 14, and Şikerê Sipî Hill at 08:00 hours on July 15th.
Following the bombings, the invading Turkish army tried to position itself, by landing its Skorsky helicopters on the Martyr Eziz Hill and Helicopter Hill.
ACTION FROM THE GUERILLA TOWARDS OCCUPYING MILITARY: 3 OCCUPIERS KILLED
Our forces organized an action against the occupation operation of the invading Turkish army, who tried to land and cut down the trees in the forested area. Our forces have taken control of the soldiers trying to land on the land near Martyr Sarya Hill.
The enemy troops that were taken under surveillance and targeted by our forces at 14.00 on July 14th. 3 soldiers were killed and several soldiers were wounded.
At about 20.00 hours, the invading Turkish army removed Skorsky helicopters from the area.
Our unit organizing the action has reached their bases unharmed.
SABOTAGE ACTION FOR THE OCCUPATIONAL TURKISH ARMY
Within the framework of the Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya Revolutionary Assault, our forces organized a sabotage action on the construction machinery belonging to the occupying Turkish army, which carried out a security route between Kendalokê and Wargenıma villages of Hakkari’s Gever (Yüksekova) district on 14 July.
The number of dead and wounded soldiers in this action, in which an enemy scoop was destroyed, could not be determined.
TURKISH ARMY SHOT ZAP’S GUNDÊ FILLEHA AREA
At night, on July 14, the occupying Turkish army bombed the Amediye Hill and the Media Defense Areas of Gundê Filleha in the Zap region of the Amediye district of Duhok.
We did not suffer any loss in these bombings. ”
