HPG Press Liasion Center (BİM) made a written statement, sharing the details of the actions held in Çukurca and Gever within the scope of Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya Revolutionary Assault.
HPG BİM statement is as follows:
“Within the scope of the Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya Revolutionary Assault, our forces have served heavy blows to the invading Turkish army in the districts of Hakkari Çelê (Çukurca) and Gever (Yüksekova). The details of these actions, where the occupants suffered heavily, are as follows:
In the morning of July 27, our forces took surveillance of a secret unit located in Deriyê Jafar area of Gever district of Hakkari. This secret unit, which was kept under surveillance for a while, was targeted by our forces at 10.30 on the same day.
The enemy unit was shot down at close range and 8 enemy soldiers, including 1 unit commander, were killed. Our unit carrying out this action has safely reached base areas.
ACTIONS FROM TWO ARMS ON THE XEREGOL HILL
On 26 July, at 05.30, an action was organized by our forces in an ambush against the occupying Turkish army, which had united to secure the road to the Xeregol Hill of Çelê district. 11 soldiers were killed and 2 soldiers were wounded in this enemy unit, which was effectively shot from two arms at close range.
At the same time, our forces have also taken hostile positions and shelters on Xeregol Hill under intense fire. The number of dead and wounded soldiers in this action could not be determined.
After the action, the invading Turkish army, which removed the dead and wounded soldiers from the area with Skorsky helicopters, bombed the field of action with fighter planes, howitzers and mortars.
In these bombings, our friends Çiya and Xwinrej reached martyrdom. The invading Turkish army started an operation in the area, following heavy blows. This operation is continuing in the form of traps.
FIRES AS A RESULT OF BOMBINGS
At 11.30 am on July 27, warplanes belonging to the invading Turkish army bombed the Xantur region of the Heftanin area from the Media Defense Areas. While there was no loss in these bombings, there was a fire in the forest.
On the same day, between 14.00 and 15.00, a fire broke out on the land as a result of the bombing of the Bektorya area with the howitzers and mortars of the Turkish army outposts on the border of Heftan.
