DKP Union commemorated Ulas Adali who was martyred on July 22, 2017, in Rojava, by making a written statement.
Statement of DKP Union
“Exactly two years ago, Ulaş Adalı, one of the founding pioneers of the Komünar rupture attack, was immortalized on the revolutionary battlefields. From high school corridors to university campuses; from workers’ strikes, barricades to street clashes; Comrade Ulaş, who left us a struggle practice from Kobané to Cizire, from Haftanin to Gare Mountains, continues to be a guide for us, the communists of today.
Comrade Ulaş, who met with the ranks of struggle in a high school in Bursa, had determined the general character of his struggle line from that day with his stance and determination that came to the forefront.
Coming out of high school corridors, Comrade Ulas reached Rojava territory with a strong appeal on days when it was being said that ”Kobane fell, Kobane will fall,” reaching out to university campuses in Ankara and Mersin and then to the streets of Istanbul. Here, he shouldered the people’s struggle for freedom with his uncompromising spirit of a fighter.
FROM MOUNTAINS TO A FREE LIVING AND IMMORTALITY
He became one of the first seed of the Comunar rupture attack with our comrades Rasih Kurtuluş, Bedreddin Akdeniz and Mahir Arpaçay who became immortalized by fighting in revolutionary war areas like him. And he never stopped walking in front of the road he’d started. From the mountains where HBDH is founded, to a free life and immortality; this was at the end of the walk which was very hilly and stubborn.
Every death is an early death. Indeed, if you have become a revolutionary like comrade Ulaş, it is so. What you left behind and your memories; you are immortalized by the stones you have laid on the rugged ways of struggle and you become the pioneer of revolutionary steps.
Comrade Ulaş, with his humble and selfless life, was one of the representatives of this leadership with his warrior and determined stance.
Today, it is the duty of the Comunar to make Comrade Ulas’ ideals real. As the communes, we will run like Ulas, despite all the bumps and hesitations, on the path opened by our immortals, and we will be heralding new victories!”
