while the youth’s human shield action against the invasion of the Turkish state and its a collaboration with KDP continues, it has been reported that one activist, Eyup Xelil, who had been arrested by KDP officers, is being tortured by them.
Eyup Xelil, who participated in the protest against the attacks of the invading Turkish state in Bradost, wanted to go home on 8 July and was detained by the KDP Public Order in Sidekan district. Some of the peshmerga sources that we reached on the incident stated that after the identity check of Eyüp Xelil, Hewler was handed over to the public order in Mesif town. Our Agency has reached new information regarding the situation of Eyüp Xelil who was sent to KDP’s Mesif public order station by a special team.
Some citizens who came to our Agency from Mesif district reported that Eyüp Xelil was subjected to intense torture and insults by the KDP public order. In the Mesif station, where they had gone to see their relatives, locals reported that they saw Eyüp Xelil and stated that Eyüp was subjected to intense torture by the KDP public order.
In addition, while there was no official statement from the KDP about the situation of Eyüp Xelil, the live shield activists in Qendil and Bradost had previously stated that they were often threatened by the KDP public order.
