HPG Press Liasion Center (BİM) said: “Our comrades under the command of our comrade Doğan Serhat have resisted sacrificially against enemy troops and joined the caravan of martyrs by hitting heavy blows to the enemy until their last bullets.”
The description of HPG BİM is as follows:
“In our statement dated June 1, we disclosed that 5 of our friends have fallen martyr as a result of clashes after the Turkish occupation army’s unmanned aerial vehicles and cobra-type attack helicopters launched an operation on May 10.
Our comrades under the command of our comrade Doğan Serhat resisted sacrificially against enemy troops and joined the caravan of martyrs by hitting heavy blows to the enemy until their last bullets.”

Comrade Dogan was born in 1977 in Ağrı, the city of resistance in Serhat. Dogan, who has the rebellious characteristics and personality of Agri, joined the party ranks in 1998, leaving university to head to the direction of the mountains in search of a free life that did not fit into the dirty places of the system.
From the first moment he joined, comrade Dogan equipped himself with the ideology of the leadership and integrated Serhat’s concise, honest and humble features with his revolutionary essence. He has always been a concrete expression of how a militant should be, with uncalculated participation and march. His labouring and self-sacrificing personality has always made him a part of the practice.
Comrade Dogan has worked for a long time in the difficult conditions of Dersim, Koçgiri, and the Black Sea; he has a sacrificial practice and has achieved significant successes against the enemy, becoming the example of a pioneering commander.
Comrade Doğan, a well-educated, bright and enlightened friend within the PKK, has become the focus of attention of all his comrades through his conversations and discussions. With his sincere and reassuring stance, he has created a sense of comfort in every friend. One of the most important characteristics of the friend was to make life more valuable by making sense of our life with the beauty of his heart. His commitment to leadership has led him enthusiastically to the most demanding and relentless practices. Despite all his efforts, Comrade Doğan has never compromised his self-critical attitude towards the leadership, the party and the people.
Recently, Comrade Doğan, who was in the field command of Dersim, was one of the pioneering altruist commanders of our struggle for freedom as one of our friends who relentlessly resisted all the attacks of the enemy.
They joined the guerrilla ranks against the brutal attack on the Kurdish people
Our friends, Baran Munzur, Botan Agır, Canfeda Cesur and Rohat Piro, joined the guerrilla ranks in the period when the invading Turkish state attacked our people brutally. Each of our comrades became friends who are known for their labouring, self-sacrificing and courageous participation in guerrilla practices in the mountains of Kurdistan.
Our comrades, who approach all the tasks of the movement with high discipline, have fulfilled many tasks. Our comrades, who are bound to the leadership, martyrs and the struggle for freedom of our people under all circumstances, have sacrificed until the last moment of their breath in Dersim against the occupation operations of the Turkish state against Kurdistan.
To the matriotic people Kurdistan, especially the families of our dear comrades who reach the martyrdom, we send our condolences and condemn the occupation attacks.”
