Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger held a picnic in Liège, Belgium with the slogan “Organize, Be Free.”
Many young people participated in the event, which had intensive discussion programs.
Barış Ulu made a brief statement in the discussions about the problems of Kurdish youth in Europe and said: “There are many problems in Europe. The problems experienced by young people in many areas, from drug use, identity problem, weakening of cultural ties to the problems created by capitalism, are deepening day by day in Europe.
It is necessary to find solutions to the problems experienced by youth and to find solutions to the problems even more strongly and to shape itself politically. There is an identity problem that all young people are exposed to.
Already every young person is in search of an identity. Especially Kurdish youth who have to live in Europe have an autonomous structure. Because there is a war and revolution in Kurdistan. The character of a young person born in Kurdistan is a resistance spirit. The youth is already in search of this and questioning. Every Kurdish youth must organize themselves and convince themselves on the Kurdistan revolution. The capitalist system separates young people from their essence, leaving them unorganized and weak.”
Finally, Barış concluded his speech with the following words: “We make the following call to our young Kurdish comrades. We say “Organize, Be Free.“Young people can only establish a free life through organisation.”
The youth finished their activities enthusiastically after the football match they played.
