Reactions to K24 TV’s verbal attacks against Besê Hozat, Co-President of the KCK Executive Council, continue. The Bakur Women’s Initiative made a statement about the issue and said: “We invite all our people to expose the KDP policies and boycott K24 TV”.
The rest of the statement included:
The male-dominated mentality that dates back to the millennium has been stratified and deepened its attacks on women. The struggle for women in the Middle East, which has been subjected to the most barbaric level of attacks in the history of women in the world, is at the point of bringing both women and peoples to freedom.
The Kurdish women’s struggle for freedom has increased its resistance since the first goddesses and today it has paved the way for freedom in the concrete of Rojava. The resistance and freedom network developed by Kurdish women especially during the last forty years is at the forefront of women all over the world.
The ruling male-dominated mentality deepens its attacks on Kurdish women, the children and the people of the Middle East under the sovereignty and domination of networks, through ugly, barbaric, ungodly mobs.
The attack on the Co-Chair of the KCK Executive Council, Besê Hozat, on the K24 television shows that the Turkish state is the practitioner of the policies that the Kurdish woman applies to the Kurdish people. K24, a TV channel affiliated with the KDP, is an ugly, immoral language of war policies that do not see the power of the free women’s struggle and the Kurdish freedom struggle.
We condemn the attack on the Co-Chair of the KCK, Besê Hozat, who is the representative of the Kurdish women’s struggle, which was the milestone in the 21st century in the concrete of Rojava, defending its people and conveying freedom.
We invite all our people to expose KDP policies and to boycott K24 TV.”
