HPG Press Liaison Center (BIM) made a written statement on 10 July, stating that a guerrilla was martyred in a clash in Hatay and the details would be shared with the public soon.
The statement releasing the identities of the heroes is as follows:
“In the statement, we made on July 10, we shared with the public the information that a friend reached martyrdom in the clash between Ovacık and Tokdağ highlands of Dörtyol district of Hatay on July 2. The detailed identity of our comrade Çiyazan (Davut Acar) who fought heroically against enemy troops in the conflict is as follows;

Our friend Çiyazan Kaşuri was born in 1994 in Hakkari. Comrade Çiyazan, who grew up in a matriotic environment and a family that has paid heavy prices in the struggle for freedom, joined the guerrilla ranks in 2010 with the awareness of matriotism against the special warfare policies of the occupying Turkish state, oppression and torture and destruction and denial operations.
Comrade Çiyazan has shown great effort and courage in our movement, in guerrilla life from the first years of his participation to Amanos. Comrade Çiyazan, the warrior of the truth, developed himself by becoming conscious in the ideology of the leadership and became a source of morale with his exemplary life among his companions.
Our friend Çiyazan joined the caravan of immortal martyrs who wrote heroic epics against fascism in Amanos Mountains during the clash with the Turkish army on 2 July.
In our statement dated July 1, we shared with the public that 1 our friends reached martyrdom as a result of air strikes during the operation in the village of Şelê in Hani district of Amed on 24 June.

Our comrade Çekdar Marnos was born in 1994 in Aleppo. He has been a close witness of the cultural genocide policies implemented differently in every part of Kurdistan, especially in the Syrian metropolises. Our comrade Çekdar, who grew up in Rojava’s society, whose identity was denied and whose liberty and vital rights were taken away from their lands, felt great anger against this system. Having taken part in youth work, our comrade Çekdar, who stepped into the dreams of the Free Country, was arrested by the Baath regime and remained in the dungeons of the fascist regime for almost two years.
Comrade Çekdar who joined the guerrilla ranks in 2012 saying that he would not betray my dreams deepened himself in becoming part of the party and became a valiant warrior of the leadership line.
Comrade Çekdar, who reached a militant consciousness of Kurdistan, reached martyrdom in the air raid by the invaders on 24 June.
We send our condolences to all our matriotic people, especially the precious families of the Çiyazan and Çekdar friends. We promise our heroine martyrs’ dreams for the future of the struggle, we will achieve victory.
