Three children who were detained by the occupying Turkish police officers in Hacıbekir Neighborhood of Wan’s central İpekyolu district on February 15 were subjected to torture both during their detention and at the Public Security Branch Directorate where they were taken.
14 year old Ö.S. was released after his statements were taken. 16 year old Ş.Y. and 17 year old O.D. reported that while he was in custody, he was hit on the head with foot and gunstocks, their faces and bodies were punched and their heads were inserted into the toilet bowl. The traces that occur in different parts of the bodies of the children, despite the confirmation of these discourses in the last 4 months over the event, nothing has been done.
Wan Bar Association reported the incident and the criminal complaint was processed and investigation was not opened. Wan Bar Association and the lawyers announcing the incident to the public, targeted by the Provincial Police Department, announced that they will make a criminal complaint against them.
However, it was learned that no investigation has been initiated. 3 children, fractures, bruises and bruises on their faces and various parts of their bodies, told what had happened.
