The Wrath of the Olive activists claimed responsibility for the action against gang member Xalid al-Dibo, the so-called president of the Ahtarin City Council to the north of Aleppo. Al-Dibo was wounded severely.

The Activists statement on the matter is as follows:

“Our fighters continue their actions to avenge the Turkish state invasion in Afrin, Idlib, Azaz and other areas. As long as the Turkish state and their allied gangs continue their inhumane attacks against the people of the region, our forces will continue the actions.

Our fighters targeted the vehicle of the gang member Xalid al-Dibo, the so-called regional council president in Ahtarin to the north of Aleppo on June 25, 2019.

The gang member was heavily wounded in the action. He is still receiving treatment in the hospital and his situation is critical.

This action by our fighters was carried out as retaliation to the Turkish state’s inhumane attacks against the civilian population, and our actions will continue.”
