HEWLER
The Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) launched an operation on the 27th of May in the Bradost area of the Basurê Kurdistan Region. According to information from the operation area, the operation has been carried out by air bombing for days because the occupying TSK troops have difficulty moving forward by land.
Civilians in the area were targetted previously, they faced bombardment on the Kortek Mountain. During the massacre, two vehicles were bombed, killing three family members and injuring 5 others. Despite these deaths, the ongoing air bombardment has spread to almost all of the Basurê Kurdistan Region.
The air bombardment in Amedia, Berwariyê, and Zaxo is concentrated on the route spread to the town of Shaqlawa Hewlêr, it was reported.
Civilians living in the area are angry that bombs and bullets have been rained on them.
ANGRY PEOPLE OF THE REGION
A resident of the Hiran countryside of Shaqlawa district reacted on social media addressing the opening fire of an occupying Turkish war helicopter. Starting a fire in the region as a result of the bombardments, the resident who shared these images from his social media account wrote the following message under the images:
“We saw that two Cobra helicopters belonging to the Turkish Armed Forces in the Hiran area of Shaqlawa district were randomly opening fire. We saw a large number of bullets thrown at the people here.
As a result of bullets shot, fire in the cultivated land and the fire still continues. We’re calling the fire brigade, and no one’s coming.
The fires set to the region in the incident that has emerged shows clearly who was setting the fires within other regions.
As if there were PKK members in the village of Hiran in the district of Shaqlawa, adjacent to Hewlêr? Turkish helicopters come here and open fire and all lands are burning. What is this account of? “
