As it must be disclaimed, the book ‘A revolutionary Approach to The Religion Problem’ is in its undeveloped, primitive form as self-criticized by the Peoples Leader, himself. These writings are not completely representative of the current stand of the PKK regarding the revolutionary approach to religion. There have been many developments released as part of defense writings ever since, due to constraints. Overall, the writings should be taken with a pinch of salt, as we continue to translate and analyze the topic.
CHRISTIANITY
Christianity declares itself the religion of the whole of humanity, and in fact the oppressed; as due to other reasons also, but especially so its fate can differ from that of Judaism. Why must it [Christianity] do so? Firstly, Judaism has emerged as the religion of a ruling tribe. Second, there are plenty of religions that reflect traits of nature. But society has developed. As it evolves, a new religion (both will not reflect natural characteristics and will not reflect clan and tribe characteristics) should appeal to the whole society. The whole concept of humanity is an abstract concept.
In the face of an abstract concept, it does not allow for people to say “God is this, God is that”. The abstract concept has no material existence; it is invisible, but a highly effective concept in this sense. And then humanity finds the solution in a monotheistic religion. Jesus, being human, is now God. If we pay attention, there is still a debate: is Jesus a God or a human being? They say, “He is the son of God ”.
It is precisely at this stage that the desired reality is expressed. Man wants to raise himself to the level of God, to elevate himself off the ground. In other words, he wants to get rid of the characteristics of natural religions, turn them into the property of all humanity and into a general concept. Here, the human being, Jesus, will see himself in a deified, Godly state. There is also the reality that every part of the earth is now recognized and discovered. Remember, religion loses power, where discovery takes place. Forces are discovered, their specialties are known, and the unexplored is the universe, the sky. Then this is the space of God; he will gradually be placed there.
As stated from the start, the man wants to rule the world. If he wants to rule, he must ascribe some power, a force, to himself. The strongest secret? To raise himself to the level of God. “God is strong,” he says, “and I am so strong.” Thus, man will tend to create a religion that allows him to make himself powerful.
We are especially going to go discuss the topic of empires here. First, the greatness of religion and God must be demonstrated. No one will believe if one stands up and claims “I am a great man, I am God”. But first the great religion and the great God of the great religion are created, and then the person asserts that he represents God and that he possesses extraordinary features. The Jesus event is exactly this; he gradually goes from the earth to the face of the sky, which is, of course, according to his tribe. Now, Jesus is either a God or the son of God. He is the human that now wants to rule. Initially, he exists for all our oppressed people. Because at this level, our people are still squirming with pain.
There is a very distorted, classist pressure. In particular, the Roman Empire is very cruel, he prevents the development of mankind. There are many slaves, and slavery is widespread. In this heroic age, our human has also reached the level of heroic Gods, but there is also a case of a downfall.
Now, the man has grown, the society has grown. Then this must be compensated. In those Roman tribes, it is possible to see people declaring themselves God, the Roman God; to declare himself as such, is to detach himself from human characteristics. The Empire is identical to the Gods. It is both the privileges of Rome and, a very extreme understanding that “God is equal to me”. It starts to gain an overwhelming control of humanity. In this respect, Jesus is far from being a religion of the tribe, and far from being a Roman religion, when Christianity opposes this. It was influenced by Judaism but opposed to Judaism. He is influenced by Rome but is against Rome.
He wants to accept the slaves being overwhelmed by Rome; he wants to get away from tribal religions. He wants to be free from the evils of the earth; the bitter misery that humanity has been reduced to. He wants to relieve the suffering of slavery. These are the main reasons for the formation of Jesus and Christianity.
Therefore Jesus says, am If I hit one of your beds, you extend the other. İsa So initially it is soft. Not authoritarian. It is far from power; because it is against power. It is modest, but for the first time, it speaks for all humanity. The size is here; The greatness of Christianity is here. The clan-tribe, nation, and even the state, no longer a religion, on behalf of all humanity, make a call on behalf of all slaves. The Call of Heaven elevates Jesus, makes him a holy being, and, as it is said, uç flies into the sky. ”Islam is the religion of a different environment. This is why Jesus says “if someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone takes your cloak, do not withhold your tunic as well.” Meaning, it is soft at the start. İt is not authoritarian. It is far from power; because it is against power. It is modest, but for the first time, it speaks for all humanity. The greatness of Christianity is hidden here. It is no longer a religion of clan-tribe, nation, and even the state; on behalf of all humanity, it makes a call on behalf of all slaves. This call elevates Jesus greatly, makes him a holy being, and, as it is said, he flies into the sky. ”
Islam is the religion of a different environment.
During the period of Islam, Christianity became the official religion of the Roman Empire. It has changed from the religion of the oppressed to the official religion of the sovereigns. This is a very important stage. Certainly, a great fear of Christianity was committed in the Byzantine Empire. Christianity was known even in 395BC. It was made official on this date. Christianity, acting as the ideological dough of the Roman Empire, plays a role both in the formation of the empire and in its development. Since it is a general human religion, it has a powerful function in the formation and development of the Roman empire, influencing countless clans and tribes. In short, it was formalized early with the fear of its glory.
Rome was initially very cruel to Christianity. He burned many apostles. The caves where they hide, still exist. They have built tens of thousands of caves to stand up and thrive in the face of a brutal force. They have lived under very secret and difficult conditions against a great tyrant. All of the caves they built haven’t been discovered. The monasteries were laid in 1989 years ago and are still intact. As it is known, the churches and their monasteries which are the primal forms are very magnificent and hidden. They opened a monastery at the beginning of a huge mountain. They have built giant shelters underground. What is this? It is to establish their headquarters against the raging Roman Empire of the time to defend their beliefs and to hold meetings.
And for a long time, 300-400 years, they have tried to live in Rome only as religious representatives of the oppressed and suffering. They have opened a monastery in the scary and majestic mountains hidden in the underworld, and have been scattered all over the world. This is self-preservation with great faith and perseverance. After 300-400 years, Rome accepts the greatness of religion and undergoes a transformation, especially in the Byzantine Empire. Christianity is now the official religion. In the development of the Empire, religion is now the basic official ideological framework. Emperors, the patron of Christianity is cut; For example, the Hagia Sophia Church remains from this period.
Now Christianity has reached the top floor. Therefore, the era of secrecy of Christianity has begun. Christianity, which has escaped from secrecy, has become formalized, honor has been achieved. A.D. VI. This is the case until the end of the Islamic century. It is a magnificent civilization religion. The Byzantine Empire, with its semi-feudal and semi-slavery characteristics, has achieved a very strong power by fitting Christianity very well. And so it spreads, carrying the effect of four continents. It should not be forgotten the apostles, and saints of this religion in the previous stage. They are all victims and agents of rebellion against the great persecution. And this is still reflected. We need to understand them in this framework.
