Physical education teacher S.K., who was teaching in middle school in a village of Bazîd, was taken into custody on 22 May for sexual abuse of a child. S.K., who was referred to the courthouse, was sent to the Magistrate’s Court with a request for arrest following the prosecution’s interrogation. S.K., who defended himself, was arrested on the grounds that “the victim had no reason to slander the suspect and that the evidence was taken into consideration.”
