Ozgur Gelecek Newspaper, with a written statement on June 13 in Bursa liaison offices, announced that the police raided their office. 3 reporters were detained, it was disclosed in the statement. The following information was revealed:
“Despite the alleged abolition, the OHAL, which legalized all practices and turned the whole country into a closed prison, continues to attack the revolutionary and patriotic press. Almost every day press workers are detained and punished for their journalistic activities. Likewise, the raid on ETHA’s office in Istanbul today is an example of this, the continuation of these attacks took place in Bursa.
Sevda Erkılınç, Togay Okay and Hüseyin Camkıran, the reporters of our newspaper Özgür Gelecek (free future), were taken into custody on Thursday, June 13 at 11.00. It is stated that four-day detention will be applied to our reporters who are detained for propaganda of the organization and our reporters are expected to be taken to the Prosecutor’s Office on Monday.
In addition to the detention of our correspondents, hundreds of books, publication archives and office materials belonging to our liaison office were confiscated. ”
