FLORENCE
The funeral of YPG’s internationalist fighter Tekoşer Piling, (Lorenzo Orsetti), who was martyred in Baxoz on March 18 during the battle against ISIS gangs, reached Florence, his birthplace on 15 June.
For the anarchist fighter who was martyred at the age of 30, events were planned all day long in Florence. Italian and Kurdish organizations called for participation to the events; a special SMS service was introduced for solidarity messages with martyr Tekoser.
From 10.00 to 20.00, messages of solidarity will be accepted. There will also be a show of video footage, photos and messages sent to Martyr Tekoser’s comrades in Rojava.
At 10:00 a memorial event was held at Piazzale Delle Porte Sante in San Miniato. Then the official ceremony starts with a speech at 11.30, the second event will start at 17.00.
