The funerals of the comrades who were martyred during the self-government resistance of Cizire, Sirnex, are still kept in the cemetery of orphans. The self-government resistance was announced on December 14, 2015.

YPS member Faraşin Sidar (Hazal Aslan) was martyred on February 16, 2016, during the attacks that hundreds of citizens were burned and killed by the state forces in the ‘brutality basements’, after the declaration of complete curfew by the occupying Turkish state.

40 months after the Aslan Family’s application to the Cizre Chief Public Prosecutor’s office following the ‘curfew’, it was shared that the funeral was held at the orphan cemetery in Urfa.
