During an operation, Maoists killed one person and released two other persons, whom they had abducted on Friday suspecting them to be police informers.
The killed has been identified as the fascist Guja Kobasi, while the abducted persons have been identified as Masa Sodhi and Onga Kalimali of Kukurakunda village in Mathili area.
According to sources, nearly 15 to 20 militants reached the village and took the three with them. The Maoists killed Guja in a ‘Praja Court’ (peoples court) held on Saturday night and released the other two persons.
“They (Maoists) organised the Praja court in their own style. There was discussions on different issues. They did not put pressure on me. Whatever happened there was done mutually,” said one of the abducted.
Though the exact reason behind the abduction is not clear yet, it is believed that the militants might have kidnapped the duo suspecting them to be police informers.
