On 2 June, one soldier was killed and four were seriously wounded in an action by the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (EGPL), led by the Indian Communist Party (Maoist). The action took place in the village of Khatalia in the Dumka region.
In Ödisha, in the Nabarangpur region, on May 30, the Maoists destroyed a warehouse of the tobacco industry with an estimated value of 20 million Rupees. According to the media company Odisha Sun Times, more than 30 Maoist guerrillas carried out this action.
On the same day, a People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army unit in the Chhattisgarh province, in the Kanker area, burned two construction machines and a vehicle used to build bridges next to a police station.
