Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan made a diplomatic call to the Kyrgyz Ambassador in Turkey Cengiz Kamil Fırat. According to the news on the website of the Ministry, Ambassador Fırat was told that they should not interfere in internal affairs and should respect the laws. The reason for the call was that Ambassador Fırat went to the village of Orok where the Kyrgyz and Ahıska peoples fought.
In a village where Turks, Kurds, Tatars, and Ahiskas live together, a fight broke out as a result of an altercation, reported the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan. According to the Kyrgyz press, in the village where 350 families reside, 32 people were detained. The fight which broke out on 5 June, started due to a disagreement between three people; as the disagreement diffused, the Kyrgyz and Ahiska population became involved. As a result, two people were injured, 15 windows were broken, and a hut was set on fire.

In the village located to the north of the country, approximately 25 kilometers from the capital Bishkek, 32 people were released after the events had subsided but there was a new tension in the region. In the Kyrgyz press reports, it is stated that Ambassador Firat went to the village to rescue a pregnant embassy worker, from the crime scene.
Ambassador Firat was previously on the agenda for abandoning an Iftaar dinner on May 7 in Bishkek. Organized by the members of the Gulen structure, Firat abandoned the dinner saying “we are building a mosque here worth 35 million dollars, but you sit us at the same table with terrorists”.
