CENTRAL NEWS
In the war that took place in Kurdistan, it was revealed many times that the occupying Turkish state tried to achieve a great deal with the private and psychological warfare. The exaggerated and inaccurately shared death toll of the occupied Turkish state in the clashes or air strikes, which became more violent in Kurdistan in the face of guerrilla actions and involved in all kinds of scandalous events, served the guerrilla losses through the pit media and tried to influence the society by reducing the number. Or it tried to take the front of the community’s reaction.
One of them is the fate of the invading Specialist Sergeant Ferdi Polat, who went to the city center from the police station in Şırnex in 2015 and was not informed later. In 2015, it was claimed that the invading Turkish soldiers Ferdi Polat and Sedat Vardar were detained by HPG guerrillas while they were landing in the city center. 8-9 months after his disappearance, some of the state officials informed Ferdi Polat’s family that “[their] son died”.
Today, the news shared in the pit media claimed Ferdi Polat’s funeral was located on the mountain and DNA was delivered to the family after the service was served. Now, this scandal that leaves a question mark in mind here, is that it is not even clear how Ferdi Polat’s funeral remained on the mountain for four years. Why is the body of the soldier, who is said to have landed in the city center, on the mountain? How did his corpse travel to a different place, even though he is said to be with the other occupying soldier Sedat Vardar? Or was the invading Specialist Sergeant Ferdi Polat killed in a clash and hidden from the public and family for 4 years?
When we think about the psychological war of the occupying Turkish state, which conceals the number of soldiers killed in the action results of HPG guerrillas many times, Ferdi Polat’s situation becomes clear.
