Today marks the 7th day of the human shield action initiated by the youth of Bashure Kurdistan, in protest of the invasion of the Turkish state.
Ciwanên Welatparez and Jinên Tekoşer, who are part of the live human action, spoke to our Agency and shared information about their action.
Avesta Xabur, a member of Jinên Tekoşer, who has participated in the live-shield action since the first day, said: “We have started the action here for a week, pioneered by youth and young women. Various institutions and organizations visit our action every day. All the institutions that came here have a reaction against the invading Turkish state. We want to uncover it.
Again, the silence of the KDP includes the meaning of accepting the occupation. Against this, as young women and youth, we will not remain silent. One of the activists, Cebar Ali said that they would be in action until the occupation attacks ended.
There have been attacks by the occupying Turkish state for a long time. As the youth, we do not remain silent against these attacks, we will not be silent, we will be in action until the occupation attacks last.”
Beritan Zagros, a member of Jinên Tekoşer, said: “We have been here for a week. There is great interest in our action. There are visits every day. Here we call on young women and youth. Let them come here to stop these invasion attacks. The day is the day of our land.”
