HPG Press Liaison Center made a written statement about guerrilla actions and attacks of the invading Turkish army. The HPG statement, which includes details of a series of actions, is as follows:
As part of the Martyr Media Mawa and Martyr Rızgar Gever Revenge Assault, our forces organized action against the Tıngê police station in Kato Xelila area of Çatak district of Van on June 17th. One enemy soldier was killed and one panzer was hit in this action, where the position, shelter and armored vehicles in the patrol campus were effectively shot in two arms.
On June 17, at 00.30, our forces organized a sabotage action on a cell tower station belonging to the occupants in the village of Godernê in the village of Pasur (Kulp) in Amed and the cell tower station was completely destroyed. ”
AIR ATTACKS
HPG stated that the invading Turkish army was carrying out air strikes against the Media Defense Areas. On the same day at 11.20, the fighter planes bombed the Kesta area of the Metina region. While there was no loss in these bombings, there was a fire in the land following the attack on the Kesta area. ”
