HPG Press Liaison Center announced on June 18 that a guerrilla was martyred in a clash with occupying Turkish troops engaged in clashes between the villages of Sêguza and Berdereşê near the Geliyê Doski area.
The identity of the martyrs who fought up to his last bullet is as follows:

“Comrade Numan Sterk was born in Siverek, Urfa. Comrade Numan, who grew up in a matriotic environment, closely observed the enemy’s genocide policies over the region. Comrade Numan, who was never able to accept the oppression and torture of the enemy against the Kurdish people, joined the guerrilla ranks in 2014 and gave the biggest response to the enemy.
Comrade Numan immediately adapted to the conditions from the moment he came to the guerrilla ranks, became a comrade known for his labour and sacrifice. He was committed to the Freedom Movement with his uncompromising personality in the struggle against the enemy in any circumstances, he showed great effort in Zagros.
Comrade Numan captured the modern guerrilla style of the period, he has hit the enemy heavily in many places.
In the action against a unit that ambushed the last enemy, he went on the enemy forces in a sacrificial style and reached the martyrdom by fighting to the last bullet.
We send our condolences to all of our matriotic people, especially the family of our comrade Numan who has reached martyrdom, and we promise to continue our struggle until the liberation of the Kurdish people, in the ideal of our martyrs. ”
