HPG-BİM released the identity of the four guerrillas who fell in the Besta region and Media Defense Areas of Şırnex on 14 and 16 April.
The description of HPG is as follows:
1. In our statement dated April 16, 2019, we stated that two of our friends reached martyrdom as a result of the air strikes in the operation started in the Şehit Diyana area of Şırnak’s Besta region. The records of our friends who reached their martyrdom in this attack were as follows;

Comrade Beritan Welat, born in Rojava Kurdistan in 1996, was born in a matriotic environment. Comrade Beritan, who participated in the Struggle for Freedom to defend Kurdistan against the invaders, has enthusiastically joined the guerrilla since the first day. Comrade Beritan, who has great goals, has continuously improved herself and fulfilled her term duties in the best way. Comrade Beritan, who has a great responsibility for life and her environment, has become popular among her comrades.
Comrade Beritan who actively participated in the war against the fascist AKP-MHP government was one of our hero comrades who never made concessions to the enemy until the last moment.
Comrade Hevi Viyan was born in a matriotic environment in the Beytüşşebap district of Şırnak. Coming to the struggle for freedom at a young age, Comrade Hevi participated in a period when attacks on the Kurdish people of the genocidal Turkish state intensified.
Comrade Hevi, who is actively engaged in guerrilla ranks, has approached her duties with great devotion in every field she carries out her work. Comrade Hevi became an effective guerrilla in a short period of time, and fought against the enemy in every field for the defense of Kurdistan.
Approaching the leadership’s line of the Free Women’s, Comrade Hevi never conceded her sacrificing stance against the invaders and joined the caravan of martyrs by heroic fighting until the last moment.
2. Comrades Bawer Serdeşt and Rubar Serhıldan were martyred in the air strikes of the invading Turkish army from the Media Defense Areas on the Zagros area on April 14. The identity of our friends who reached the martyrdom are as follows:

Comrade Bawer Serdeşt was born in 1991 in the city of Serdeşt in Rojhilat Kurdistan. Growing up with the oppression policies of the colonialists over the Kurds and shaped by their own values despite the enemy, our friend Bawer joined the guerrilla ranks at a young age. Adopting the national aspect of the PKK, which is the common struggle value of four parts of Kurdistan and participating in this struggle with great heart, our friend Bawer became one of our comrades who participated in the fight against the Kurdish people in any field in any genocide.
Our friend, Bawer, has approached every mission on the basis of great responsibility and has done a great deal of effort and accomplished his duties successfully. Comrade Bawer, a competent guerrilla commander with his training and experiences, has been in constant active struggle against the enemy.
Our friend, Rubar Serhıldan, was born in Dırbesiye and managed to be one of his own values despite all the pressure of the enemy. At a young age, he joined the ranks of the struggle for the freedom of the Kurdish people against enemy reality.
Rubar, who participated in the short time he spent in the guerrilla ranks with youth energy, became one of our friends who knew how to heroically walk towards freedom.
We send our condolences to the precious families of all our matriotic people and friends; and especially to the families of the comrades who have reached martyrdom in Besta and the Zagroses; Beritan, Hevi, Bawer, and Rubar. On this note, we renew our promises to continue the struggle of the comrades until the freedom of our people and their ideals have been achieved.
