HPG Press Liaison Center issued information on the identity of two guerrillas who were martyred in the heavy bombardments of the occupying Turkish army on the Media Defense Areas on 28 May.
The statement of HPG is as follows:
We shared with the public, the information that the invading Turkish army carried out heavy bombardments on May 28, from the Media Defense Areas towards the Qandil region and that two of our friends reached martyrdom as a result of these attacks.
The identity information of Aryana (Zozan Ibrahim) and Ruken (Bisheng Yaman), who reached martyrdom, are as follows;

Comrades Aryana and Ruken joined the Freedom Movement on different dates against the oppression and assimilation against the Kurdish people and entered into an active struggle. Two of our female comrades who have devoted themselves to the freedom of the Kurdish people are known for their labour and commitment to the movement.
Comrades Aryana and Ruken, who developed themselves in the Free Women’s Ideology of the Leadership, successfully accomplished their duties. They were exemplary militants of the period, developed themselves with the training they received and became the owners of a great struggle against the invasion attacks of the enemy.
We promise to the matriotic Kurdish people, especially the esteemed families of both our comrades, will be left alive while promising that we will carry the flag of freedom carried by our comrades Aryana and Ruken, in the name of cleanliness, honesty and devotion.
