HPG Press Liasion Center announced the identity of the two guerrillas who were killed during the clash in Amed on 11 January 2019. On 11 January 2019, there was a conflict between the forces of the occupying Turkish army and the forces in the rural district of Karaz (Kocaköy) of Amed. Comrades Zilan (Suzan Çelik) and Zınarin (Hacire Yılmaz) who fought heroically against enemy forces in these clashes, where many soldiers were killed and wounded, reached martyrdom.

Our comrade Zilan Tolhıldan was born in 1986 in Amed. Growing up in a matriotic environment by witnessing the ongoing resistance war in Kurdistan, our comrade Zilan felt the system and enemy contradictions more deeply and participated in the Kurdish Freedom Struggle.
Our comrade Zilan, who joined the guerrilla ranks in 2005, has always been based on a humble and modest personality. Coming with great enthusiasm and excitement, Comrade Zilan has been actively involved in the fight against the invaders in Amed, one of the angriest areas of the war.
Deepening with the ideology of leadership, our comrade Zilan has become a successful guerrilla commander by becoming competent in the line of free women. Zilan, who has become a militant affiliated with Leader Apo until the time she reached the martyrdom, became one of our heroic martyrs who fought against the enemy until her last breath for the freedom of the Kurdish people with her sacrificial stance.
Comrade Zınarin Berxwedan was born in a matriotic environment in the Kozluk district of Batman. Comrade Zinarin, who saw the policies of assimilation and extermination of the enemy against the Kurdish people at a younger age, joined the guerrilla ranks in 2016 for the freedom of the people of Kurdistan.
In the heart of the hopes of the people of Kurdistan, Comrade Zinarin, wrapped in a struggle with a magical belief. Zınarin, who became competent in the mountains of Kurdistan with the education of free women and revolutionary life, has gained a great effort in the struggle with the slogan of Free Kurdistan and Free Leader.
We respectfully commemorate both our militant comrades, who struggled with the awareness that freedom can only be achieved with great sacrifice and costs.
