The HPG Press Liaison Center made a statement on 4 guerrillas who were martyred on 8 June on the basis of the information given by Şeyhmus Özdemir, who was taken prisoner on 9 May and turned into a contra. The explanation is as follows:
In the operation started by the occupying Turkish army, in May, in the area of Şehit Cafer, Şehit Welat and Susuz Mountain of Dersim, the person named Şêxo Amed (Şeyhmus Özdemir) was contracted after he was captured by enemy forces.
Upon the information provided by this person, the occupying Turkish army expanded its operation towards the Mêrga Çepera and Mêrganê areas. In this operation, which lasted about 1 month, there were clashes between the occupying Turkish army and our forces on 8 June.
The invading Turkish army, which intensely bombarded the area where our forces are located, has met the resistance of our forces. Comrades of Dicle, Berfin, Nuda, Havin and Kinem, who fought heroically until their last bullets after the blows to the invaders during the intense clashes, reached the martyrdom.
