HDP’s Riha MP, Ayşe Sürücü asked the Minister of Justice Abdülhamit Gül to carry the massacre in Siverek to the agenda of the Assembly. Ayse gave a statement that 6 people lost their lives in the incident, which allegedly started because of a land dispute between two families in the Celtik neighborhood of Siverek district of Riha.
A GENDARMERIE VISITED THE FAMILY, ONE DAY BEFORE THE ATTACK
Yekbun İzol, whose parents were killed, recalled in her statement that the gendarmerie visited their homes the day before the incident and looked around. Yekbun disclosed that “a group of 4 cars with a group of 10 people arrived in the early morning on June 15th. The group attacked the family with stones and sticks.
Later, former AKP MP Zülfikar İzol’s brother Cemal, Cihan, Bülent İzol reportedly attacked the other side with shotguns.
Ayse asked Justice Minister Abdülhamit Gül the following questions:
- Is your ministry aware of this incident in which two women who were vulnerable, have lost their lives?
- Does your ministry have any explanation about this incident?
- Is there any detention or arrest for the incident?
- Has an investigation been opened? If the case is opened at what stage?
- Has there been any case regarding the alleged incident 17 years ago?
- Has the lawsuit has been filed, or what is the result of the provision given?
- On June 15, 6 people lost their lives in the event of what kind of weapons were used?
- How was the heavy weapon used in the video provided?
- Is there an investigation launched against former AKP MP Zülfikar İzol and his brothers mentioned in the incident?
- Will there be any investigation by your ministry regarding the blackout and destruction of the incident that occurred 17 years ago?
