CENTRAL NEWS

Returning home from work at around 22:00 on June 22 in the Izmit district of Kocaeli, 27-year-old M.A. was kidnapped by three people waiting outside the door of his house and identifying as a police officer.

According to the newspaper Karınca: M.A. was forced into a white coloured Connect car and taken to a dark, deserted forest in the Umuttepe region.

M. A. said he had never seen those who tortured him before. “They introduced themselves as the police. I didn’t know we were going there. First, they spoke nicely. Then there was torture. I was worried when they turned the car up into the forest. I couldn’t figure it out. I don’t know what they did, why they did it. I’m nervous.

I asked them for an ID, but they didn’t show me an ID. They made me racist insults, told me to leave the city, especially when they hit my back and hit me with a stick. They said you will leave this country; we will not host terrorists like you here. While I could not comprehend the incident, they used statements like ‘We know who you are, Dirty Kurd.

Then they got into the car and left. After that, I was able to return home by public transport. ”

After that, M.A. He said he had to leave town because of fear. “I packed my things from the house and went to another city. I’m in another city right now.”

M.A. said that he was afraid and could not initiate any formal proceedings even if he went to the prosecutor’s office.
