Returning home from work at around 22:00 on June 22 in the Izmit district of Kocaeli, 27-year-old M.A. was kidnapped by three people waiting outside the door of his house and identifying as a police officer.
According to the newspaper Karınca: M.A. was forced into a white coloured Connect car and taken to a dark, deserted forest in the Umuttepe region.

M.A. said that he was afraid and could not initiate any formal proceedings even if he went to the prosecutor’s office.
