Revolutionism is the service of the people. In this context, a revolutionary means a person who is ready to do every job for his people. When necessary, a revolutionary will take on the most dangerous work willingly and invests in every ordinary job with the same attitude.
For this reason, the concept of revolutionism is often blessed. It is said that the revolutionary work and the revolutionism itself is very difficult. A revolutionary is one who is ready to work under all circumstances, to put forward and defend the values that the individual believes in, even at the cost of himself; not everyone proposes himself to this work and live this life, and not everyone proposes himself to commit to revolution and revolutionism.
It must be noted, however, that those who see themselves as a candidate of revolution or revolutionism, which is unordinary, will live ordinary lives. Those who do not have their eyes on great duties will be forgotten in the places they go. Whereas, every person would want their wishes to be fewer. because wishes are either things which we have not done or things which we have done wrong. They are things we have somehow left a deficit from our lives.
Ordinariness or ordinary life is full of wishes. If a person wants to live with, or without, wishes their eyes must be set on big goals, on goals which others would not dare to wish. Just like Marti Yonathan, one must set their eyes on such high places that they reach freedom, they must taste this in their soul.
In Kurdistan, for at least 40 years there is a possibility for everyone to set their eyes on a goal. For 40 years, every individual has been granted the opportunity to exceed the life that has been drawn out for them. It is so, that every person who wants to be themselves, wants to exceed themselves, or find themselves, or wants to seek refuge in the movement with the worlds strongest ideology: has had the opportunity to do so.
Maybe before this opportunity did not exist for every Kurd. Maybe every young Kurd was not able to do as they wished, maybe it was genuinely hard for such a person to be able to exceed themselves. However, in Kurdistan, the emergence of PKK and Apoists, has opened a door for every young person. This door has been opened the widest for the women of Kurdistan who were unheard of, for, till this day, the Kurdish movement is the most glorified for its women.
With its Leylas, its Saras, Zilans, Arins, Avestas, and its Leyla Guvens, today the Kurdish woman is carrying the Kurds across the globe. The source of this is the PKK movement and its Leader Abdullah Ocalan, who has given the Kurdish youth the means to be revolutionairy. As for Leader Apo, he indicates his differences through his comrades, who are first in line to serve the revolution.
The most recent visit of the Leader Apo and his lawyers being on 12 June, the statements that were released through his lawyers are effectual for every Kurdish youth.
Leader Apo says:
“The streets of Diyarbakir are full of thugs. Why can they not do this in the centre of Amed. Let them take me so i can pick trash there, i don’t know whether I’ll be a trash picker, or the leader of the trash pickers. I will clear the rubbish in Baglar and greet everyone as i do so. And i will return the greetings of those who greet me. I will serve the peoples, from inside the peoples.
I give this as an example, of course. This is the attitude of, i will serve, no matter what becomes of me, for my people: i will do it. I will do everything, even the smalles of things, with great serousness for them.
I have a memory with my dad which i will never forget. We went to wheat picking, my father was under the tree. When i went next to him, he said “you clean well” surprised. Pure, and serious, i value everything i do, no metter how small, and this is my approach to eveything. And when someone else does something differently, i will not judge.
Let me take this as an example. Everyone, for example, clean the front of their house. Cleanliness is essential everywhere. Streets, cities, people are also needed in politics. I am here in the hands of the state. When I wake up every morning, I ask myself, even as a citizen. Do I have production, what can I produce here under these conditions? I can be useful here. How useful are you to this people, how can you benefit from them? ”
He expresses what he will do and asks us how to serve our people with production and creativity. Without further ado, every Kurdish youth will, of course, rely on what Leader Apo says. However, it is necessary for everyone to find out how this will be practised.
There are huge problems posed by colonialism in Kurdistan. How can we, as Kurdish youths, solve these gigantic problems? Moreover, the biggest problem facing us today is the colonialism itself, how will we save ourselves and our people from the darkest-spirited colonialism of this world? Since the way of the expulsion of colonialism in Kurdistan is to win the people of Kurdistan, with which services can we keep our people away from colonialists and colonialism?
Leader Apo gives an example above, but there are so many jobs and even countless jobs in Kurdistan that we will both stand by our people and conquer their hearts. Again for the freedom of our people, and extraordinary things that everyone cannot do by gazing at the cruelty of fascism as soon as possible to save our people? Yes, we can increase our questions further. However, it is not the questions that matter, but the answers we can give. In this context, isn’t it time to answer the work and work of our people?
