The occupying Turkish police raided several houses in the morning in Caldiran. At least 12 citizens were detained in the operation. Among them is Leyla Atsak of HDP, who was elected as the co-mayor of the district in the March 31st elections but was not able to take her role, following a decision of the KHK.
Detention reasons are unknown.
Other people whose names have been taken into custody are: M. Sıddık Moraner, Halil and Kerem Koç, Süleyman Kaya, Hülya Kaya, Naci Utaş, Zeynal Keleş, Salih Candeğer, Naci Dorak, Şeref Temel, Nuri Kızılaslan.
